Cappadocia Green Tour

Overview

Our professional guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cappadocia at 9:30 am.

Our first stop is the magnificent Derinkuyu Underground City. It is the first and most popular underground city of Cappadocia. This underground complex has been used by the local people for hundreds of years to hide from the Hittites, Romans, Persians, wars and cold weather conditions.

After leaving Derinkuyu, we will drive further south to the magnificent lush Ihlara Valley. We will walk for about 1 hour on the banks of the Melendiz River, which winds through the Ihlara Gorge, and will take a break for lunch at a restaurant by the river in Belisırma Village.

After lunch, we continue to Selime Monastery, the largest rock monastery in Cappadocia, with a huge cave cathedral and breathtaking views of the region.

Afterwards, we will visit the town of Güzelyurt with its unique view, the High Church, and then the church mosque and the holy spring water well.

On the way back to Göreme, we stop at the magnificent view point overlooking the Güvercinlik Valley.

Our last stop will be to watch a show on onyx carving and shopping at a local onyx factory.
